Ok i tried today with DVD-R. And it worked. I burned Virtua Tennis 2009 at 4x and works perfect. I burned another game at 2x and I get errors in the game saying that it cannotread disks. I have read on other forums that is better to write the disks at 4x or 8x. Anyway thanks to everybody.

I'm confused!! After getting my verbatim 16x -r disks working (at any speed!) by replacing the cios, i was advised to try using 16 +r discs at 2x speed by the person whose guide i followed. I've have burned a bu game on a tdk +r disk without any problems by changing the booktype through imgburn settings before burning the disc.

I was going to try the +r's to see if they make the bu games load any quicker!!

Ispatar, When you were burning the Verbatim +r's did you use imgburn and change the booktype???

Do me a big favour and try to burn another bu game disk for me at what ever speed you think it will handle? You might save me from buying 100 coffee coasters!

    Thanks!

    Hi Superdragon12,

cIOS38_rev13-installer is an updated version of cIOS36_rev10-Installer so i would presume the same fix may or MAY NOT work for you all i can tell you is it worked for me and another forum member (Flk).
This did not work for me.

Fik, I think your going to need to provide more information about what exactly you have done to get to the point where you are at the moment. All we know about your problem is that your using Running 3.2U and IOS249 (Rev 9) and keep getting the 'Read Error 972'. AS your still on 3.2 firmware you may or may not be able to use Neogamma6. Have you tried any other Neogamma versions V2-v5 or gamma loader 0.3 or earlier.

Here is the link to all official versions of neogamma donated kindly by 'WiiPower:

Now dont get me wrong as im no expert in softmodding as i did it myself for the first time a few days back. But if you look at my previous posts in this thread you will see i explain in great DETAIL:

    1. Where I started. (i.e my make, model, firmware, serial number (mine started with LEH) and the country in which i bought my wii in and what guide i followed to softmod my wii.

    2. Whether i had used any hacks before on my wii or if i had used the Tw1gh1ight Pr1n3ss hack before. (My wii was a virgin 4.0E)

    3. wrote down all the steps I have taken so far to get me to the point where i was receiving error 972 i.e which guide(s) i had previously followed: ULTIMATE System Menu 4.0 Guide - GBAtemp.net -

    4. Wrote down all error messages (by trying all versions on neogamma V2-v6 as they will produce different errors in each release)
Tried to troubleshoot my problems by trying earlier versions on neogamma and further questioning in the following forum thread

NEOGAMMA CHannel Thread : [Only Registered Members May View Links| Click here to register]
My post is the 2nd post down on page 36 of the above thread.

Tried burning with Nero and IMGburn on diifferent speeds with different DVD -r's. As i was using Veratim x16 -r's I knew that i was definately using the correct discs to troubleshoot my problems so i think for this reason people started to realise that i had a REAL prob and not a bad media disc issue. (by the way i'm not saying yours is definately a disc issue!)

    5. Got some good suggestions from other members of this thread and the other thread above.

    6. Two forum members from two different threads suggested the same thing to me to try and fix my prob and it worked!

See how much i just typed asking you these questions?

Think of how much you can type answering them!

Both yourself and other forum members will find it easier to pinpoint your problem when you have provided more info.

Hope this helps, as my fingers are starting to bleed!

hi . I used Imgburn but didn't change the booktype as i got an error , and the soft didn't recognize what type of media I had in . My maximum writing speed at my PC i think is 6x (is an older PC) . I heard people burning them at 8x on a romainian forum. They said it works better if you burn them at a higher speed.

it doesnt work better, theoretically it wears out the laser lens faster, and x4 backups are usually burned better because they are burnt slower. also the whole +r -r thing is explained in other threads in this kickass forum

yes i agree 4x is the best speed to burn at, i have burned numerous games for my wii before i used usb and never had one bad disc due to a burn issue...also its still very quick at 4x, i think maybe 10-15 minutes on my pc or less and i also burn 360 games at 4x and their also very quick to burn

here is a link to wanankoko's site, [Only Registered Members May View Links| Click here to register]. You will find rev10 on page 2.

And, for those having problems burning discs, [Only Registered Members May View Links| Click here to register], it may help. I know, it's for movies so everything may not apply to Wii ISOs, but most of all it's for burning DVDs.

EDIT - learn about media quality [Only Registered Members May View Links| Click here to register].

The reason I provide links is if I suggest something like burn at 4x or use TY -R DVDs someone will post a reply saying "use brand X and burn at top speed because I get a good burn all the time", hope you find valuable info in the links.

I'm also getting the dreaded 932 error but unlike the others, my regular Wii games dont get read in the Disc Channel. I've been having this problem since I tried to install backup launcher and the cIOS for it, this was on 3.1E (and I used the bannerbomb method to install HBC, DVDx etc).

When I had done this, NO DISCS WILL PLAY - even Wii games!

I then upgraded the firmware to 4.0 and installed preloadeder and NeoGamma 6, and cIOS38 rev10, this is when I came across the 932 error when i tried to run games using NeoGamma.

I've since tried both rev13a and b - still no joy!

I dont think the type of buring techniques/Discs apply to me because I still trying to get the "real" game discs working.

    Any suggestions?
