How to hook a wbfs hd to my computer to put movies on it

I downloaded the WBFS manager, and it is recognized. However, I am only able to put ISO's on the harddrive. Is there anyway to be able to put avi/divx/etc. files on it? Or am i going to have to redownload all of my movies as ISO's?

The WBFS partition is only for Wii games - nothing else (yet) - right now the best way I've found is to have a fat32 partition as your first partition and install MPlayer ce. Make sure both your fat32 and wbfs partitions are primary partitions. Then you can use the same hard drive for both movies and USB Loaders.

No I'm afraid you have to delete everything when you re-partition the drive - did you save the ISOs? If not if you have room on a drive you can extract the games as compact ISOs using WBFS Gui and they will only take as much space on your computer drive as they did on the WBFS drive. Then you can use it to put them back after you finish partitioning.

I wanted to do that but I have too many games on my HD. So I just use my 8 GB sandisc USB thumb drive and watch movies from that. I also figured that once I watch a movie I probably wont watch it again, so why have it on the HD. If you have another HD, just format it to fat32 and put your movies on it, MPlayer will recognize it.

Yea, that's what I'm going to end up doing because I really don't feel like buying another hard drive until this one dies. Now all I have to do is find 500 GB worth of wii games...

There are some partitioning programs that will allow you to partition off part of a hdd that is in use without erasing all of it. I know partition magic will let you but, it cost money. Perhaps theres a free version available...

actually someone of gbatemp has made a wbfs wrapper for linux which lets it run wbfs natively and put any files you want on it. but all other computers wont read it.

You do not have to erase all of ur games to make a partition!!! get EASEUS Partition Master 3.0.2 Professional Edition this will allow you to make a partition on ur drive with out doing anything to ur iso files. i know i have used this prograam many times!!! on multiple drives. if you have problems finding it PM i can send you it via email or upload it to rs megaup etc etc~~
