The forwarder is a channel that forwards to the boot.dol in your apps folder meaning you can update and use the very latest version from your system menu. The wad you installed is a self containing wad and does not need the app on your sd card.

Im not sure why you are having problems with the channel. Can you use the USB Loader GX through the apps menu on the HBC? If you can I would suggest uninstalling the WAD and finding a forwarder wad.

i downloaded a forwarder, i have several folders, these being

1.apps
2.boot.dol for preloader
3.config
4.wad

do i copy the app in the app folder on my sd card, put the boot.dol for preloader into my apps folder on my sd card. put the wad on my sd card and install this. is this correct so far??
what do i do with the config folder.

thank you for all your help, had no problems installing the hbc and playing homebrew but just want to do this stage correctly as there seems to be several different usb loaders and apps.

ps, just checked the config folder and seems that it is full of different languages, i guess i don't need these??

alright what you need for the USB Loader GX is [Only Registered Users Can See Links. Click Here To Register] That is the latest version of the What this installer does is download the lastest boot.dol file or latest channel wad depending on what one you choose. The next screen will show you the directory it is going to install it too browse it to your sd cards \app folder and click ok. Then click install and you should be good to go

Ca my USB Loader GX Channel does not work

I can't seem to get my USB Loader GX Channel to start the program on my SD Card which is on Rev 815, resulting in a black screen and unresponsive remote. Reboot required of my Wii

My Specs
  • 4.0u with Homebrew Channel
  • Cios 249, 222/223 Hermes Rv4
  • USB Loader GX Rev 815
4.0u

When I try to load the channel i get the Channel Menu, then I click Start, i get to a splash screen and then boom black screen and unresponsive remote.

I thought of updating the channel but.....now I have 2 unresponsive channels!

Even with the new revs which i autoupdated throught the GX config menu in the program itself no luck.

All works well if I go through the HBC!

Update. Nothing was working for me so correction there. With any version above r810 for GX. I had to go back to a r7xx version i had saved from July and i was able to get the channel working again AND the HBC method as well. Ideas?
