This USB loader works awesome, I tried some other ones and couldn't get my maxtor to mount in them.. Finally I got this and it works great.

I used a program called Bootit (download here [Only Registered Users Can See Links. Click Here To Register]) then install, once installed just select the pens drive letter from the list and click flip removable bit, it will say take pen drive out of drive and re-insert to make the changes.

If it has worked you should be able to partition the drive using something like Easeus parttion Manager Home Edition (download here [Only Registered Users Can See Links. Click Here To Register])

What it does is it makes your computer see your pen drive as a fixed drive rather than a removable drive.

Please note that it does not work on all pen drives, i got it to work on my 8GB Freecom Pen drive but not my Peak 4GB pen drive.

USBLoaderGX_1.0_Installer.exe "USB Loader GX" Easy installer (for Windows). Featured 3 days ago 273 KB 11094

For your info, this is the latest. rev628

They have basically changed the forwarder back into a loader and updated, you still have the choice of forwarder or channel. To install channel you need to use Custom wad manager. You will need internet connection for this as it downloads straight to SD from them.

ok. n00b here. please bear with me.

here's my situation. ive been trying to look for the answer on my own with a search button.. but i failed.

so. i recently softmodded my wii and i was looking into this USB Loader GX. now i have it installed and all that good stuff and i have a backup game that i wanted to try out. i just dled it from a torrent and the folder comes with a buncha zip files. my question is.. what do i from here to load it on a hard drive or usb stick so the usb loader gx can read the game? do i just drag the files from the folder directly to the storage device?

tia,
kaLoy

Most .iso downloads come in the .rar format, sometimes as a single archive or split into 100MB chunks. What I would do is extract the files from each zip in turn into a folder and see what you get. I wasn't aware that zip files supported segmentation so maybe someone has zipped .rar files or something like that.

Just right click on one of the zip files, click extract here and they will all form into one iso file.. which will apear in the same folder as the zip files...
