Oops, sorry, I forgot that NeoGammaR7 automatically incorporated the 002 fix and removed it from the menu. As you are unable to play older games, it suggests that the IOS's are missing from your Wii. When you installed from this guide, had you previously installed a cIOS version from a guide that also had you install IOS 38, 53, and 55?

If not, you actually have not successfully completed the softmod of your Wii that would be required to play backup games from either a backup disc or HDD. Go here:

The Wii system menu is what you see after powering up the Wii. Each of those TV-like screens on your system menu is a channel. Wii applications that are available as a WAD file can be installed and run directly from the system menu as a channel. Such files are installed using WAD Manager.

The Homebrew Channel allows you run applications that have the .dol extension-these applications are kept in an Apps Folder in the Root directory of your SD card. For more info on the HBC and the very useful Homebrew Browser see: WiiBrew

With regard to playing Wii Sports Resort, do not allow the game disc to perform an update as your softmods will be overwritten. Please do a search on this site as there is a rather long thread about WSR here. Playing WSR from the original disc will depend on whether you have the IOS's installed that are needed to play. Those IOS's are probably identified in the WSR thread.

You might like to read through this tutorial a few times. If you will be installing wads and are running backup discs-you might to make sure you are protected from an accidental bricking of your Wii. http://www.wiihacks.com/recommended-...d-any-wii.html

The download of this tutorial provides for the installation of the Homebrew Channel, you can opt to install bootmii to make a backup of your Wii's NAND (its flash memory), be led through installation of wad files using the downloaded copy of Wad Manager, a opt to install preloader-a program that boots up prior to the system menu, in case of a brick preloader can maintain access to HBC. Bootmii and preloader help protect your Wii in different ways.

First, make sure all your Game Cube controllers and cards, etc are out of the Wii. If the error code is ret=-1, that often means a problem finding the file on the SD card.

SD card try an SD card not SDHC formatted as FAT32, make sure your WAD files are in the WAD folder.

You can also try a different WAD Manager version if none of the above steps work out.
