Yes, I did format it with the the WBFS tool, and even formatted it with that, but no joy. My only thought is that as it was originally formatted with HFS+ for the Mac that somehow there are sectors that are reserved, which are messing with recognition; I've seen this before, where not all the disk was addressable initially. Just haven't had time to look at it at low level. A project for a few weeks time, when I have a spare moment.

I currently have this working with an old 40gb IDE drive. I would like something biger. I was thinking of a 250-350 portable 2.5" drive, perhaps WD passport or a seagate freeagent. Has anyone had any luck with these or other portable drives? Also these are usb powered, any unwanted effects on the wii?

I'm having a problem with games such as Rock Band 2, Guitar Hero Metallica, American Idol, etc. that use a Logitech USB mic. It seems that the second USB port gets 'disabled?' when using games through the USB loader.

Is this a known issue that I haven't been able to find, or do I have something messed up on my system? All games play great, it's just additional USB compatability within them.
