I have split the HDD into two 256GB partitions with drive letters G and H, formatted as FAT32 using one of the utilities. However, when loading in USB Loader I get error -6 when trying to format for WDFS. Using a WDFS PC utility, I can format a partition, but USB Loader still does not recognise a partition and prompts me to format.

I have 4.0E, but loaded cIOS and HBC prior to updating. USB Loader works with a 1GB flash drive, and I'm at least not getting error -1, so I'm hopeful that the drive will work eventually. Any suggestions?
just a stab in the dark here mate. but trying formatting one partition with WDFS 2 Utils and see what happens. i think -1 error code is drive compatability. u used cios rev 9 when installing the usbloader ? i am on 3.2,

Funnily, enough I'm going to try that today; takes sodding ages for fat32formatter to do 500GB! Will report back. I knew -1 was incompatible/cIOS not installed, which would have been kiss of death, or a hot swap attempt at best. I just have to work out the voodoo to get past -6! My main short term worry is that cos the minimax is also a USB 2 hub Wanikoko's code is choking...

I'm also going to try some of the better mods, as I believe some of them have tweaked the USB driver timing. Presumably, issues like drive spin down, etc, will be sorted by v2 as PCs don't have this problem.

P.S. I'm on cIOS rev10 and USB loader 1.5 at present

OK, well I have tried absolutely everything: downgrading to rev 9; using all the major mods to Waninoko's v1.5 usb loader; hot swapping a working flash drive; every bit of voodoo I can find on the web. Nothing works. With rev 9 I get error-1, with rev 10 I get error-6. My guess is that the drive is seen, but something is stopping the partition being recognised. I tried wbfs manager v2.5 and PrixMgui to use my PC to format the drive to WBFS. It didn't work.

I guess, I'll just have to wait for v1.6+ ???

Here, for those who know about such things is the output of the usb tester and iusb respectively:

mate you got me stumped the only thing i can think of is that the drive is not compatible, did it work with WBFS.exe tools does that see the drive.
the last thing i can only think of this trying this, its a long shot most people didnt work for them but might for you.

Is this usb loader fully compatible with Super Smash bros. brawl? Cause the beginning movie always freezes and then the game crashes and I have to reset my wii. Also, after beating kirby in adventure mode, the first battle, the following cutscene freezes and everything crashes. So what can I do to fix this?

    Unhappy where is it?

Ok so I have a simpletech 1tb eternal drive. I partitioned off about 105g for my wii. I hook it up and everthing ran without a hitch...OR SO IT SEEMED! Now I can see my drive and when I use the wbsf manager on my comp to put games into the drive letter I made it....nothing... Its like that partition vanished along with the 105g. Lol the solution is probably simple and I am probably just being n00bish but I would appreciate any help.
