Post 2 different versions of CFG USB Loaders - ???

    Hi,

I have my wii all setup and running well and moved my files from my bootable SD card onto my dedicated USB drive so I could boot from it and re-use the SD card.

When I turn on my Wii it automatically loads CFG Loader v65 and all works well.

If I then press the home button to go get to the homebrew channel and load CFG USB Loader from there I get v70.

Can someone help me figure out how I can automatically load v70 and delete v65 pls?

Here's a screenshot of my main root files (some of which I don;t think I need there at all)

    Many thanks in advance!

Make sure you've deleted the apps from your SD card and in the HBC press 1 and select your HDD as your device. You should also know that you're not "booting" from your device, you're "loading".

If you need the Priiloader compatible dol or CFG USB Loader Channel wad
Official CFG Loader Forwarder | GBAtemp.net
    http://www.wiihacks.com/recommended-...ates-more.html
    1. The first thing to do is to put the dol you want to boot on the SD card. You have to place this dol at the root of the SD card (not in a folder). It is not needed to rename the file to boot.dol
    2. Run priiloader (by holding the RESET button while the Wii boots.)
    3. Now go to Install File. On the new screen, go to your dol and press A to install it. Wait for it to install and return to the main menu
    4. Now go to Settings. We need to change 2 things here:
    * Change autoboot: to File
    * Change return to: to Priiloader
Save the settings and restart the Wii to see the result.
Note that you can only access the system menu trough priiloader

I do not use Priiloader to autoboot Cfg USB Loader. I have CFG USB Loader Channel install to the Wii system menu. If you have a outdated CFG USB Loader Channel install you could uninstall the USBLoaderCFG Channel.wad you use to install the CFG USB Loader v65 Channel with Wad Manager if you still have the wad or you could try Wii Options/ Data Management/ Channels/ USB Loader CFG/ Erase or Move to SD card. I usually use Wad Manger 1.7 to uninstall wads and then install a updated USBLoaderCFG Channel or Forwarder. The one in your HBC is correct and the CFG USB Loader v65 is outdated. You could also try installing the new CFG USB Loader channel without uninstalling the old one but you may end up with two CFG USB Loader Channels
Do not install vWii Channels that is only for Wii U
I just move CFG Channel to SD and install USBLoaderCFG - UCXF - IOS58 v12 Glass.wad(mirror) with Wad Manager 1.7 with IOS236 and it works perfect.

Candylove, please do not link to outside guides. The CFG link was the source page, which is fine, but the priiloader link was to another hacking guide. I edited your post to reflect the WiiHacks Priiloader guide, which contains all of the information that you posted, and also was approved by dacotaco (priiloader's daddy) himself.

    Please reference the Forum Rules:
    II. Posting Rules and Guidelines

    1. Posts themselves should be made following additional rules and guidelines:

    a) Before posting your question, use the SEARCH function. Look through the site Tutorials, Guides, and FAQs.
    b) A post should be made in the appropriate Forum or Tutorial Thread. Incorrect post or threads may either be moved to the correct area, deleted, or closed and ignored.
    c) Members are to post their question/problem only one time in the correct area. Multiple or duplicate posts will be deleted. Repeated or deliberate flouting of this rule will result in time in the Reading Room or a ban.
    d) Responses depend on the availability, expertise, and good-nature of other members and staff. Do not “bump” your post within 24 hours of posting.
    e) Interjecting your post into another member’s individual Question/problem Thread is termed “hijacking” and may be ignored, deleted, or result in disciplinary action.
    f) Do not post your problem asking for a private response by PM or Email. Responses should be made by posts available for all members to read and learn.
    g) Should you post a response to a query that provides a link, that link should be directly to the open source material and not just to another information forum of an outside Website.
    Thank You

Well, it was a google site... with the title of "Complete Softmod Guide" lol. Hopefully you understand that we dont allow outside links because a) we know our guides work and b) we know how our guides work. Other guides do different things, and it is impossible for us to support and be knowledgeable about every other guide out there, so that is why we say stick to our guides. In this way we can be of the most help possible.
