Mario Kart Double Dash, Dios Mios, and USB Loader GX Freezing issues

Hello,
I just installed Dios Mios 2.6 on my Wii and am having some problems with Double Dash. The Problem is that the game loads, asks for memory card, I select continue without saving, press start game and... Freeze. Done. Have to reset wii. Here are my wii mod Specs:

4.1U Wii
Dios Mios (NOT Lite) 2.6
USB Loader GX 3.0 r1204
750GB Seagate Laptop HDD Connected with USB to Sata formated with fat32 and 32KB Cluster Size


Settings I am using for Dios Mios are all default except for GC Pad Hook = yes
I AM NOT using NMM and have a wii game in the drive.
Also other gamecube games I have are working fine, like Super Smash Bros Melee and Mario Power Tennis, just not mario kart.

Also, I recently updated my softmod about a month ago with "MauiFrog's Softmod any Wii" Guide

ah double dash great game

im not sure if you have tried other versions of dios mios but it sounds like a game-rip problem
you should try re-ripping/downloading the game again and maybe compressing it if you havent done it already

i have this game so i can tell you the ISO size should be exactly(unless compressed)
1,459,978,240 bytes large
although im not sure if this will help

woops also forgot a question for you, does the game work without a Disc in the hard drive?
im having problems with Dios Mios(not Lite, that works fine) and my hdd and im gathering all the info i can

I just tried re-ripping the game with clean-rip, readding it to the drive, and same result...
I also checked on the iso size and it shows it is exactly 1,459,978,240 bytes, so I don't think that is the problem. Also, I did not compress the game.
Does the Game Work for you? If so could you tell me what version of dios mios you are using? Also, are you using USB Loader GX, if so what revision are you using?
The Other thing I probably try next is trying out a different loader. I'll post back with my results.
If that doesn't work I may need to try a earlier version of Dios Mios...

And I think 2.4 but I'm not sure about this one
I use adios mios booter rev 30 as I haven't problems with it and it makes things easy(just not pretty)
I would definitely recommend you compress it too
I use an SD card as I haven't had success with my hdd
If it still doesn't work...I would check your video settings and also enable pad hook and debug as that's what I do

Ok, so I got it working now. Looks Like a bug with Dios Mios 2.6 for USB. I just tried Dios Mios 2.4 with my hard drive and it works great. Even NMM works properly. Anyway, is there a way to post this issue on google code, so the devs can fix it? I can't seem to post this issue on there. Anyway, thanks for the help Zawata.

Sure thing and yeah there should be an issues page in the wiki page of the Google code site

Oh btw if its just one game then it will probably need to be a game issue not a program issue

Sorry to resurrect this thread, but has anyone managed to get Mario Kart playable with DM 2.6?

I'm having the same problem mentioned above in USB Loader GX, does anyone have any suggestions or will I need to downgrade to 2.4? I've experimented with different settings but the game always locks up after the start menu.

EDIT: I've also noticed there is controller lag for a few seconds on the press start screen. It seems to take a while to recognise that I am pressing Start before accessing the menu. Is this the same with other loaders?

The issue might be your drive as the game works fine for me. Try a different drive to test.

It works for me as well, like BxLgnd said, it could be a drive issue, do other games work ?
