DIOS MIOS Restarts Wii

Everytime that I try and boot a GameCube game from any launcher, it restarts my Wii. I've tried reinstalling DIOS MIOS multiple times and that never seems to work. I've also tried multiple loaders like the DIOS MIOS Booter, USB Loader GX, and NeoGamma. Is there anyway to fix this, and is anyone else having this problem as well?

Did you DiscEX the iso before putting it in the games folder. You know that Dios Mios is for USB loading. You need DML if loading from SD. You have a FAT32 file system with a 32kb cluster. Your using a cIOS to run the loader.

Yes I did use DiscEX. And yes I do know that Dios Mios is for USB loading. My external hard drive is FAT32.

Try another drive. Can't think of anything else it could be. Doesn't have to be a big drive. just big enough to get a Gamecube game on there to test it. A 2GB flash drive would be ideal as all GC games are 1.35GB. Did you compress them?

I guess you know that some games don't work compressed. Can't think of anything else. I think i have covered all possible causes. Sorry i couldn't help.

Try updating your loader. You might be out of luck with Neogamma but look for a version of USB Loader GX that is r1200 or greater. You can get the latest versions of Configurable USB Loader and WiiFlow by updating within the app.

I've had this problem too when I tried to get GameCube games to load from my USB hdd, they copy to the hdd but can't be played. I assumed my hdd is not compatible with dios mios or devolution.

Try your game ISO uncompressed. Use CleanRip to make them 1:1 copies. Place them in the correct game ID folder and name the ISO "game" (ie Zelda Wind Waker US copy is: USB/Games/GZLE01/game.iso)

If it still doesn't work make sure your HBC, USB Loader Forwarder and USB Loader programs are all up to date (USB Loader GX v3.0 r1200 works perfect with DIOS MIOS 2.3)

If the issue STILL persists then it's probably your HDD (either not formatted right or just not compatible at all).

Another option is to look into Devolution for USB loading GC games, IMO it's a little better than DM for several reasons (though DM has a few advantages too so it's good to keep both). Devolution is an app run from SD so there is no installing and no need to worry about overwriting something/messing with the Wii's internal memory (ie no chance of bricking)
