Lol b/c your card doesn't have a wbfs folder nor a games folder. My program was made to check for directories: root, apps, games and wbfs. All of these happen in different scenarios where the MOST combinations that could happen is when an sd card has DML on it, along w/ a games folder. Therefore it would be: root:, /apps, /wbfs and /games. Lol, make sense?

The biggest thing I see here is they're is a bunch of repeats of installers, and revisions and... Ugh... Example: For cIOS: Rodries cIOS Installer, cIOS Installer, cIOS rev 21 installer. For neogamma there's: Neogamma and Neogamma rev 8, there's three different WAD managers, which all of the WADS COULD'VE technically speaking been installed by one manager... Ugh, there's so many variables to how this wii is running what IOS's that it's not difficult to see how this thing isn't running DM lol. By backing up ALL of this data, and doing the total softmod over again, might be the thing to work.

Couldn't I just return to vanilla IOSs and restart? I'm not really sure what the issue would be though, I've posted my sys check and everything seems fine

Also, I pretty much did just re-soft mod the Wii for this process

This just isn't making sense anymore. I once more (for the second time this week) went back to the "Softmod ANY Wii Guide" and pretty much re-installed the soft mod.

I then installed USB Loader GX via this guide http://www.wiihacks.com/other-faq-gu...gx-v3-0-a.html and tried once more. Froze at 11 seconds after the stage of initializing the usb drive.

I then updated the cIOS to d2x v9 (beta49) and the error changes to it being hung up at the same spot at 10 seconds, then hung up at -1 second, then displaying a message saying the usb drive cannot be found.

I also reformatted the usb drive (NTFS), marked it as active and primary. Made a WBFS folder, transferred (via the Wii Backup Manager 0.4.5 build 78 [x64]) the WBFS file (which went directly to the WBFS folder).

So it seems the issue is with the dx2 IOS but I have absolutely no idea what to do. Can anyone help me out with this? I'm just lost

It's compatible according to the lists I've looked at. On the OP I posted what the properties of the drive and it's listed as working on every list I've seen.

If I put video files on it, they can be played on the various players, so I don't know if that helps.

But I believe it's this model Newegg.com - Western Digital Caviar WD1600BB 160GB 7200 RPM 2MB Cache IDE Ultra ATA100 / ATA-6 3.5" Hard Drive -Bare Drive if that lines up with what the screen in the OP shows

I also tried to format it as FAT32 just to see if that would work, but no luck. And of course the problem is that I don't have another USB hdd that is big enough to try

Well I'm not really sure what else I could do, it seems I've done pretty much everything. Thanks for your help anyway everyone. The only think I can think of would be that there's a cIOS that I haven't installed. But it doesn't seem clear what I need to do and no guide is very clear on this point unfortunately.

With no real options left, you might check the guide to Softmod ANY Wii by Mauifrog. Run thru it fully before adding any of your other apps in your /apps folder. Before running your softmod, there are multiple places where it asks you to format your card. Make sure to backup your data before starting.

So I should just re-format the SD card and reinstall homebrew on the clean card?
