    Lightbulb

    I would definitely participate if there was a linux/GNU forum.
    I have Ubuntu as dualboot, and I rarely start my windows 7.

    @Modderman:
    Do you mean something like this:
    Code:
    |
    |-->|linux/GNU|
            |-->|ubuntu|
            |-->|Mint|
            |-->|Debian|
            |-->|openSUSE|
            |-->|Other/less common dsitro's|
    Maybe I forgot a really common distro, but this is how I would do it .

    Debian, Mint, and Ubuntu are all essentially the same thing. Ubuntu bases itself off of Debian, Mint in turn base itself off of Ubuntu (It used to just be Ubuntu with addition codecs) other than their most recent flavor which skips Ubuntu and bases itself straight off of Debian. None the less they all operate the same.

    True, but over time, they have developed pretty big differences.
    That's why I would make separate forums.

    If we're breaking it down by distros it would probably be more logical to break it down by bases:

    Debian based
    Arch based
    Gentoo based
    and so on....

    I don't know if it needs to have sub forums. I was just thinking of a general area where we could post Linux tools/news/help and support.
    Damn I suck!!!!

    I agree. That would make things a lot easier. If there is a question about a specific distro the person can flag it in their title or mention it in the post.
