I like your photography idea as some of the pics I've seen you take are really quite good.
Personally I don't have enough interest or time to hang around in IRC. The forum needs attention and it interests me more to do that. If it is felt important to have Senior staff in IRC then promote or create a new Staff position like IRC Moderator or something.
Thats tristans job but he dosnt do it anymore.

Tried a couple of times Trek but it just does nothing for me, shame though as I used to enjoy IRC about 10 years ago.
It shouldn't have to do anything for you, the members need help, so they should get it.
I think IRC is something people either love or hate, some prefer the forums as its more organized and not so manic, some like IRC as its busy, live, and sometimes rather amusing :p
