Anyone else having issues with Drive noise?

So when I play a burnt game, My drive makes lots of noise. And once the game is booted up, doing anything (Loading levels, Menus, Stats, Etc.) Takes forever. Does anyone else have this issue? Could it be that I'm using Memorex Dvd-R?

Sounds like your drive could be on it's way out. Better back up those discs to usb while you still can (it is far superior anyways). FYI backup discs are read at half the speed of originals, making your drive work twice as hard.

And those Memorex Discs are garbage. I would bet they are the culprit for your drive going bad. Should always use Vertabim DVD-r.

Only used a couple of Memorex, I'm about to try some Sony ones.

I know the HDD is superior, I love it. But, I also love GC games and it won't play them.

I want to clarify, It sounds fine when playing Normal Wii Discs.

You can play Gamecube games from sd card with wiiflow mod r27. Maybe invest in a 32gb sd card?

Could just be the crappy discs then. Sony isn't a bad second choice.

Don't they have SD to USB adapters?

The Sony sounds much better, Not great...but okay. The load time sucks.
