    Wilma,

The Wii is finicky when it comes to a network connection. I have internet access on my Wii (as proven by HBC and DOP-Mii), however, none of my "Nintendo authored" tests, either within the Wii settings or through other games, will work. The thing is, I don't attribute this to my Softmod because I also flashed the firmware on my router with DD-WRT (a third-party Linksys WRT firmware), so my original router config is gone.

In the past though, I did have my Wii in a DMZ, and that was really the only way that I could get it to connect. I have heard that setting a static DNS server in the router config is needed to get the Wii "talking", although I haven't tried it myself yet. I'll be entering Google's DNS servers (8.8.8.8 and 8.8.4.4) soon to see if I can get around the DMZ route, otherwise, it's back to the demilitarized zone for my Wii...

I will be working on getting that bad boy back online, and when I determine exactly what needs to be done, I will surely let you know.
