Question WiiKey2 Config Disc...Leave settings be?

I just installed my WiiKey2 and am running the 1.2 firmware update..

What are the ideal settings? Kind of confused. Everything looks good to me, but this is new to me..

    Currently on:
    Region: On
    Original Read: 6x
    Original DL Read: 6x
    Backup Read: 6x
    DL Backup Read: 6x
    Allow System Upgrade: USA

    Good to go?

Angry WiiKey2 Config Disc - Asgard Core v1.2

Using the same settings as mentioned below:
    Region patcher: On
    Original Read: 6x
    Original DL Read: 6x
    Backup Read: 6x
    DL Backup Read: 6x
    Allow System Upgrade: USA

My system was bought in Canada and after running the firmware I can use the original Wii sports.

But it doesn't read the PAL DVD games. Any reason for doing that or is there a solution?

why are you recommending to block all updates ? when he tries playing a new game that requires the update and not just wants you to update, it wont work, always set it to just allow the region your console is

as for amer not being able to play the pal game, try hooking your wii up to ur wifi connection and updating the wii as it probably just needs updated for the game to work 100% safe to do

Yes I agree. Only block updates if you are going with hombrew/starfall etc.

If you are not planning on using homebrew then blocking all updates is a bad thing. Allow them from USA if you are not going to use homebrew.

for the average user blocking all will cause more problems than help them, as newer games would stop working because their wii isnt updated...

while for a user who does any reading will find that blocking is extremely preferable. all you need is to update your ios'.

3.3 and above patches the trucha bug so you cant use fake singed disks anymore...also on 3.4 they update automatically and some future update could render your modchip useless. unlikely, but who knows?
