Any Reason to Update a 4.2U softmod console?

    Hello,

I have a 4.2U softmodded console which was modded around a year and a half ago. I haven't stayed up to date with the new updates and such since modding the console. I haven't noticed any issues with playing games, but I'm also not sure if I have any "new" released games either. I use CFG_USB_Loader and have had almost 100% success with any game I've attempted to load. Is there any reason to look into updating to 4.3 and re-softmodding? I realize there may be a way to update your system without having to re-mod. If that is what I should consider, then that's what I would investigate. Am I better off staying with 4.2 and leaving everything as is?

Anyone who has been a member here for a year, would know that updating the system menu is a complete waste of thought process.

Thanks for the reply. I apologize if you missed the early part of my post where I indicated I have NOT stayed updated over the past year or so.

No I read it, but the question was about updating ( in the present tense) your system menu.
The softmod itself maybe could use updating, but this has nothing to do with the system menu, never has.
