    stuck at usb loader

Awesome site. I've learned a lot, but I'm not quite to the promised land.

I followed mauifrog's guide. Had a couple hiccups (bootmii didn't load properly), started over and successfully finished the guide. When I try to load from either a FAT32 or WBFS usb (PNY32 attaché), CFG loads, sees the games, can give game descriptions, but then hangs at "booting wii game, please wait"

I haven't messed around with which cIOS to use, and I'm not sure where I go for that. It seems to be beyond the scope of mauifrog's guide and I wanted to be cautious before going much further.

    I haven't installed d2x, should I need that?

Thanks for pointing me in the right direction.

Try using the neogammer to load from the USB it usually autodetects which ISO's to use. From Wii menu click on Neogammer (Disc with skull and cross on).
Go to line which says load from DVD press right arrow this should change it to load from USB. This will then read the USB and will give you a choice of games to load.

I tried neogammer and it said it couldn't find a WBFS partition. I've got the thumb drive set up as a FAT32 and have WBFS as a folder at the root. I have a black wii... I put the USB in the lower slot. I tried the upper just to see what happened and it hung the system, and I had to hold power to reset it.

Any thoughts on what I should try next?

Yes you need d2x. How did you follow the Softmod ANY Wii guide without installing it? Post a sysCheck please. What game are you trying to play?

Here's the sysCheck. I guess I did load d2x, it must have been in the cIOS v5 installer. I didn't do that as a separate step like I some being advised to do.

The games I've tried so far are epic mickey, just dance kids 2 and wii party.

Ok well the sysCheck looks good. Make sure you have the latest version of CFG (v70). Check the USB compatibility list (link in my sig) and make sure your drive is compatible. See if your games are mentioned in the list of problem games (link for that is also in my sig). Try re-ripping the games, too.

I wanted to report back. I got things to work by using cfg with 222. I was defaulting to 248. I'm assuming I can make 222 the default. I'm also ready to load covers. I found the material for modding the wii really well done, but the support on cfg harder to find. Is there a good info source on that out there?

    Thanks for your help.
