    Question Ios Downgrade error ret=-1

I have a wii with the 3.4E firmware.
I read many guides and this is my report: I installed successfully the latest homebrew channel (1.0.1), I installed the wad manager (1.3), launched the IOS16-64-v257-prod.wad, launched the Custom_WM_IOS16 and the cios.fix
When I launch the ios downgrader it starts, verify the net and says that he finds an ip (192.168.0.3 given by my access point) then he try to download the tickets but it only gives the same error! (ret=-1).
    What does it mean???
The net works perfectly because I can use without problem the weather and news channel, besides I can use the opera channel without any trouble.

    Can anyone can help me?
    Thanks in advance.

I have the exact same problem. Have you figured out how to get around it?

I'm also getting the "Error (ret=-1)" for any IOS download (IOS/cIOS Downgrader) but all other apps are fine (Homebrew Browser, News Channel, etc). I've even monitored the network and can see the requests and the right data being returned from the Nintendo servers. I'm currently running 3.4E.

Any one figured out a solution or work around for this? It's really driving me crazy!

Try reloading ios16 using the custom wad manager before following the rest of the instructions
Have you used the search function ? used the Tutorial section ?

Did you know you can donate to help the running of this forum ?

Thanks for the prompt reply, but unfortunately I just tried and it didn't make a difference. I used Custom WAD Manager 1.3 to install IOS16-64-v257-prod.wad and cios_fix.wad (which worked fine) then when I run IOS Downgrader 1.0, it fails the download as usual.

Hopefully that was just one of several possible fixes??

Absolutely, don't see any problems. Everything "internet-wise" is working fine. Using wireshark I can see the HTTP requests and responses (which look fine) and have even set up a temporary transparent proxy on my linux box to see if that makes a difference. I'm fairly sure the information is getting back to the Wii, it just seems like it's not liking it
