Nand wii question
i recently softmodded my wii by using mauifrog's guide. everything went great, but i have a few questions that need answers, so help me amigos. lol
i backup my nand during mauifrog's guide, but my nand is corrupted (try to copy to the computer but computer said file is corrupted). thus, can i still make a backup of my nand now while my wii have been softmodded already? if so, how?
if my wii is bricked, does my new nand, assume that i am able to copy my new nand after my wii has been softmodded, will help me to restore my bricked wii to the point where it has never been softmodded (freshly wii) or it will restore to my softmodded point?

Yes you can make another copy of your nand. It depends on how bootmii was installed - as an IOS or as boot2. If as an IOS, you can launch bootmii from the Homebrew Channel. If as boot2, it automatically comes up when you turn on your wii.
Restoring the nand is also dependent on the above two things. As boot2, you can do it yourself through bootmii. As an IOS, it is a very bad idea...you would have to send your wii and nand backup to a nand programmer (there are guys around this site that do this).
The backup that is restored will be an exact duplicate of your system the way it was when you backed it up.

also, y can't u restore your own wii nand via IOS by yourself? y do u need a programmer to do it for you?

It's known to be dangerous... A warning is given when you start BootMii if you are trying to attempt it.
It's not a case of i've got a backup I can replace it. A programmer will have to remove certain information from the nand backup and keys to re program your bricked one...
