Man arrested after calling 911 to complain about his broken iPhone
Michael Alan Skopec, 48, called 911 five times in a row to express his anger for his malfunctioning iPhone. Officers from the Kendell County Sheriff’s Office traced his location from the phone call and headed to his home around 1AM. Skopec was arrested after he “refused to comply with orders from deputies”.
While it was unclear at the time why he thought the police could assist him with his phone troubles, it was later discovered that he was intoxicated. He was charged with obstructing or resisting a peace officer, a misdemeanor.
