Play NTSC game saves with a PAL disc?

    Hi Guys

I've had a look around the forum and I can't find anything about this.

I imported an NTCS-U copy of Smash Bros Brawl ages ago, before it came out it the UK. I eventually sold the game and have just recently picked up a copy of the PAL version. Is there a way to get my old game save working for the PAL version, or am I doomed to start the game over again?

    Cheers

I have read about it being possible with some games but I personally haven't tried it.
    The steps would be:
-play long enough to make a new save file with your PAL version
-extract both the NTSC and PAL game saves to sd using savegamemanager
-from your pc copy the contents from the NTSC folder in the NTSC version to the PAL folder in the PAL version
-reinstall the newly fixed PAL save to your wii with savegamemanager

Let us know if it works!

cjizzle, you're a legend! I followed the steps and it didn't quite work, but you were on the right lines. The only thing I needed to do as well was to open one of the files in a hex editor and change the game code from the NTSC-U code to the PAL code!

Thanks a lot mate, I never would have figured it out on my own! Very happy I don't have to start again!
