Thread: reformat?

    reformat?

Can I reformat my TP modded wii? I'm having errors and want to start over now that I have a better understanding of this all. What would be the best way to do this?

I advise again formatting, at least for the moment. Can you tell us a little more detailed what kind of errors you are encountering?

I'm getting ret 1035 and 1029. I cant install any backup channels or load any backups. I think I may have added an incorrect IOS but I'm not sure. Everything was working fine until I tried to get the drums to work for RB2 using softchip. I'm not worried about lossing anything just dont want to brick it, thats why I was wondering about the reformat.

    I had posted this earlier:
I was able to remove Gamma but now can not add it back (ret=-1029)

In trying some of the fixes I have tried install the CIOS_FIX.wad (ret=-1035)

    WII Gator (ret=-1029)

I can install IOS16-64-v257-prod.wad and WAD Manager

    I have followed http://www.wiihacks.com/recommended-...atutorial.html
    And Tried: http://www.wiihacks.com/recommended-...t-proof-o.html

I'm afraid I may have installed something more then once and that is causing this, if that is possible.

try using Waninkoko cIOS uninstaller, remove IOS 249, then try my tutorial, see if it helps.

No dice, It says Custom IOS (IOS249) Found! But I hit A and:

    Uninstalling tickets... Error! (view = 0, ret = -1017)
Uninstalling title contents... Error! (ret = -1017)
IOS could not be uninstalled! (ret = -1017)

    Any other ideas?
    Is a reformat even possible?

I was told recently that you can unbrick a semi-bricked system with wii-fit. Was also confirmed by another. Give it a try
