Semi-bricked japanese wii, tried almost everything i can think of!

Yep, another person who semi-bricked their Wii.
I've got a Japanese Wii, that i got from a friend, and when I tried to access the setting, the "opera screen" appears.
Because of this I don't know what version I've got. And when you count the numerous times I've tried to update it via new Nintendo games, that I thought would work, I absolutely have no clue!
When i soft-modded it, I used a guide that would work on v. 3,1-4,2. But after my update from games Priiloader and BootMii stopped working. But I can still use HBC and play games via neogamma och usb loader
I've tried everything that I can think of/understood, but i can't get it to work.
I've tried the guide here, but I can't get it to work, because it says that the files I should install isn't installed at all.
Now I'm thinking about downgrading it, but all the guides I've found about that says that you have to have an internet connection, and I don't have one.
Could anybody please provide with a guide that is made for stupid people?

I really hope that someone can help me, and believe me! I have tried almost everything, including alot on this forum, and everything I could find on google .

Just do my softmod guide, chapter 1, 2, 3. Install the cios pack and mod pack of the region you want your wii to be, then do the optional region change and ensure the settings match your isntalled system menu. That will fix your issue.
