Thread: Black screen

    Black screen

    Hello guys!

Today when I tried playing on my Wii I found out that the Wii wasn't booting and the DVD inside was being continuously readed(there was a noise, I guess it was spinning inside). I thought it may have been bricked so read some guides from here. I found out that I can fix my issues via Bootmii installed as a boot2(but I don't met this requirements) or by loading Priiloader and restoring from a NAND backup.

Well when I start the Wii(actually when I plug the power source in; it stays up all the time and I can't use the power button) and keep the reset button pressed the Priiloader menu is starting up. Everything seems alright, but I found another problem. To navigate through the menu I need a connected Wii remote, which I don't have(I can't sync my Wii remote to the console). I read on the web I can use a GC controller too, but I don't own one, so here comes my question: How can I sync my remotes from Priiloader menu? (or how can I fix my Wii without using the Priiloader?)

    Thank you very much!

Buy a $10 GC controller, quit being so cheap. You can't sync it any other way. If you don't have BootMii/boot2, that's pretty much your option --- and the most safest thing to do.

It's not about being cheap. I want to fix it asap and here in Romania GC controllers aren't too popular.

Perhaps your bluetooth module went bad. That would explain why your wiimote is not working. Priiloader would still work if the bt module was bad.

But I guess that won't explain the brick too, right?

Bad bt modules can cause black screens. It probably needs replacing.
Search Fleabay, they are very cheap.

I still have warranty for it. I should remove the soft modding before sending it?

Removing a softmod has it's own bricking risks. Besides, even if you do manage to remove it successfully,
chances are that Big N will still know.
    A BT module is a $7 part.

Which is allot cheaper then sending you Wii to Nintendo to tell you that your Wii is modded and that you have to pay them 200 dollars before they could fix you Wii.
LOL, I always thought that was funny how they didn't say that they wouldn't fix the Wii directly, but charge for a new one instead.

Do you have a tutorial about replacing the BT module?
