Checking status, and where to from here re: upgrading my softmod
I have done quite a bit of searching, but (be it because there is nothing there, or because I'm not searching for the correct terms) I can't seem to find anything meeting this question!
About a year and a half ago I soft-modded my Wii. I've got vague recollections of installing a WAD, and some kind of boot loader protector, but that's about all the 'invisible' installations. I've got the Homebrew channel and Neogamma also installed.
At present, the only way I can load games at all is via Neogamma (the normal loader doesn't work). Whenever I quite a game, the Wii restarts. I'm not sure if this is all normal behaviour, but if I can stop it happening I'd be happy.
I've also seen that there are now ways of effectively Brick-proofing my wii, which I would love to implement.
Is there a way to check what I've got installed, and once I've done that upgrade to newer/better mods?
Thank you so much!
To check what you have installed you can run a system check.
Look HERE to see how to do it.
Regardless, I'll probably recommend you update your softmod
by following the "softmod any Wii" guide.
There's a link for that guide in the "Useful Links" spoiler in my signature.
Thanks so much for the fast reply. To clarify - even though I have stuff installed already, can I just use that guide as if I didn't?
