Thread: USB won't work Port 0 not detected.

USB won't work Port 0 not detected.

    Hello all,

I've been browsing on these forums and GBAtemp ocasionally, but hadn't registered yet.

My Wii had been running games perfectly well until recently when the port 0 stopped being detected. My USB flashdrive works perfectly on my computer allowing me to modify its contents and such with no problems, meaning it's not the flashdrive.

I plugged a USB HDD on port 0 and it lights up, meaning the USB port has energy, it however isn't detected either. I also used the WiiMC app and plugged my HDD to port 0 and was able to play some videos on it, meaning the port is still usable.

While looking for help on the matter I tried everything on this link (Wii USB Port out of service... - GBAtemp.net) also and this link (Fix for 'Waiting for your slow USB drive' - GBAtemp.net), without success.

Among the possible solutions offered in the links I posted in the previous paragraph were installing cIOS 222 and 223, using a newer version of Configurable USB Loader and forceloading 223 on it, I tried doing this with no results.

Another possible solution offered was connecting a USB HDD on port 1 while my USB flashdrive was connected to port 0, it apparently had solved the problem for some people, but sadly, it didn't seem to work for me.

I've been trying to fix this issue for several days now without success. I was hoping you guys, who are much more knowledgeable could help me solve my issue. Thanks for reading.

    EDIT: Making it more understandable.

Post a system check. Did you update your loader or anything before this started?

I also posted this on GBAtemp, someone told me to download ModMii and rehack the Wii. I installed the following: IOS236 v 5, PriiLoader 236 Mod, Simple IOS Patcher (IOS 36, 60, 70 and 80) on MultiMod Manager I downgraded to 4.1 U. I also selected Install and patch IOS36. I ran Configurable USB loader and still have the same issue... I don't know how to create a system check file. If you tell me how to I'll immediately post it.

The forum won't let me edit my post. Sorry. I just wanted to add that I ran WiiMC and my HDD is detected from port 0 and can run files from it. It still doesn't run games from my flashdrive though.

I wish u would of followed the guide on how to run & post a system check. That wall of bunched text is hard to read.

I did see your mod is out of date and you should follow the softmod any Wii guide.
