    Mod Any Wii 3.3U doesn't load boot.dol w/ Bannerbomb

Following Mauifrog's Mod Any Wii for 3.3 U and using the Bannerbomb v.1 I have been unsuccessful in getting the boot.dol to load from the SD card. I've modded more than 5 Wii's but none of them have been this old of a version.
I tried the pack that was mentioned and then individually extracted the "private" folder each time trying 5 different folders total. Am I missing something simple?
    Tutorial:
    *3.0-4.1 Bannerbomb v1
Download MMM-58-61-Hackmii_0.8_BB1.zip, Extract file to sd:\ -mirror
alternate BBv1 files-B, C, D, E- If the boot.dol does not load, try these, just extract to sd:\
-Go to wii settings- data managment- channels- SD- Load the boot.dol
    -Multi-Mod Manager will load

You tried all the alternatives as well? what exactly happens when you "-Go to wii settings- data managment- channels- SD- Load the boot.dol"?

    What happens?

I never get the question load boot.dol?
When I click on SD it only shows the spaces.
Yes, I tried all of the alternatives 2 times.

What SD card brand are you using? I use a 2GB SanDisk and it works great. The Nintendo SD card works as well.

    SD Card....2.0 Gb Sandisk

I thought this was a compatible card. although it is a 3.3U so I'll look it up again. Any suggestions for SD cards to use?

If it's a 2gb full SD card, then that's the correct card. Judging by your post header, it seems you are using the proper card...

Edit: make sure you format it (FAT32), full not "quick."

    Are they extracted correctly?:

    sd:/apps
    sd:/private
    sd:/wad
    sd:/boot.dol

    SD card not loading boot.dol

    I did a full format Fat32
Do I need to do it between each alternate file too? Of course putting the original files back on and then replacing the alternates. It tells me I have 15XXX blocks open so I'm assuming it is recognizing the SD card.
    contents of card are:
    sd:/apps
    sd:/private
    sd:/ wad
    sd:/boot.dol

(I hope this is not something easy that I'm must missing. I've never had this issue before!)

I've read somewhere that you name the 'private' folder to 'privateold'.

Just for giggles, try formatting with Panasonic SD format tool sdfv2003.exe
