We Sing has become a popular and fast-growing karaoke franchise on Wii, with close to 1m units sold in the series to date.
Following the three previous releases, We Sing, We Sing Encore and We Sing Robbie Williams – the publisher is now bringing We Sing UK Hits to retail, which contains big British tunes from artists such as Coldplay and Queen.
It’s ideal for casual players and fans of titles such as Zumba Fitness and Just Dance.
Like other games in the series, We Sing UK Hits lets the player grab a microphone and sing along to songs either by themselves or with up to three others. Their vocals are rated at the end of each track and those who closely sing in tune and in time are awarded the most points.
The title boasts 40 songs including Blur’s ‘Girls and Boys’, McFly’s ‘5 Colours in Her Hair’ and more (see ‘Top of the Tracks’). Every track has its own music video playing in the background while the user sings along to it.

Hitting the high notes
Each song has a number of difficult-to-reach Star Notes, which distribute bonus points to those who hit them.
We Sing UK Hits also boasts a range of modes including Solo, Party, Jukebox and Karaoke, as well as in-game singing lessons for the vocally challenged. Party mode consists of individual We Sing, Versus, Group Battle, Pass The Mic, First to X, Marathon, Blind and Expert modes for added replay value. Jukebox allows players to cue up their favourite songs and videos in a custom track list.
Other extras include the ability for users to play back their recordings and add voice effects to them, as well as customise the colours, wallpapers and music in the menu screens.

“We Sing UK Hits is the first singing game in the We Sing series to feature six decades of iconic British music, performed exclusively by world-famous UK artists.”
With its affordable price tag, strong casual appeal and host of classic British tracks, We Sing UK Hits is ready to rock this quarter.

Hit Marketing
Print ads will appear in various male and female lifestyle publications, while a social media campaign will target Facebook and YouTube. Retailers will receive high-impact We Sing mic stand POS materials and there will even be collaborative promotions with music artists and record labels.
