Thread: GH World Tour and Gamma Loader

Ca GH World Tour and Gamma Loader

    Hi,

I believe I have a D2C chip and have been fine until recently when we got GH World Tour and a wii Fit, both of which wanted me to update. I didn't.

Instead I installed Homebrew etc and have now updated from 3.1U to 3.2U. The games that I've tried that worked before still work as they did, but Guitar Hero won't load from the disk channel. It will load from the Backup channel though. Should I be concerned?

This is my first post, thank you all for your directions and FAQs which enabled me to get this far.

Now that you are at 3.2, load Starfall with the homebrew channel. Install "Skip disc update check" with it. The update shouldn't show up on any games after that.

    I'd like to think so...

Thanks for your reply. Yes, I followed the guides, I actually selected all the options in Starfall. Before I installed Starfall, both Wii Fit and GH World Tour wanted to install updates.

Wii Fit (retail disk) starts from the disk channel now, no problems. Guitar Hero (backup disk) won't start from there [ black screen and wii requires reset ] but does start through the Backup channel. I just want to know if this is normal or if I should be concerned.

    Thanks

Backup disks aren't supposed to start from the disk channel. That's what the backup channel is for :P

If you REALLY want to start the disk from the disk channel, what you do is start as if you're going to run it from the backup channel, hold 1 as soon as you press start (I find it works better if you just rapidly press the 1 button over and over) until the config menu comes up. Then all you do is press B, the wii will restart, and your game will load into the disk channel

    Hope I helped

Yup. Not too concerned at this point. At least it works in backup loader. Maybe it's not compatible with that modchip? Maybe a poor burn - dunno.

    Thanks

if u wifit is of usa version, go ahead and update as is. it won't brick.
brick happens when u update the 3.xU wii with out of region games (ie. an import - J, E, P - disc/iso & backup).
