    Wii 4.3 SoftMod Issue

First of all, greetings to you all. I am new to the forums (though introduced myself before but that has been a long time ago) and apologize in advance if I accidentally chose the wrong forum section to post my issue in.

Now to the issue itself. I successfully softmodded my Wii yet with some errors as it seems. When I first softmodded my Wii it was on System Menu 4.0U. Due to an act of complete retardedness I updated to 4.3U (after removing the homebrew previously installed) and remodded my Wii under the new System Menu.

Now to the issue itself. I can still use the Homebrew Channel and install/use homebrew without problems. I installed Start Patch and made my Wii Region Free due to owning games of both American and European Region.

Now the actual problem: When I try to play different games they either work or don't even start and if they start, some of them crash midgame.

Best example is Super Smash Bros. Brawl. SSBB is an American Region game. It starts without problems since the default region is America. In game though the game crashes, sometimes really early sometimes after 3 games or more.

Some games on the other hand run without problems, others like Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles: The Crystal Bearers (which is a European Game) can be started (the Disk Channels plays the game tune and shows the animation) yet immediately after starting result in a black screen. From there on the remote stops working (shuts down) and doesn't reconnect. The Wii therefore can only be shut down via holding the power button for a few seconds.

I don't know if I messed up when I softmodded or if the new System Menu is at fault. I was intent on cleaning my Wii up, yet after some research people said that that method could result in unexpected behavior or side effects (especially a NAND reset). What should I do?

I say you should do a NAND Restore. There is nothing wrong with it. If you have a NAND Backup and boot2 just use BootMii Restore. Then softmod your wii again.
