Question System update 4.3 slipped in the backdoor....kinda

    Good evening WHers...

I have been running my wii on version 4.2 for almost 2 years without any issues. Once I discovered the USBLoader method, I was hooked. So basically, I take my games OOTB and rip them straight to the external drive, and keep the disk as a "plan C" backup.....Then, last night, my wife rented a couple of games from redbux and proceeded to perform the system update, bringing us back to v4.3. When I learned what she did, and found that my backup channel and usbloader channel no longer worked, i figured I could just replicate the original modding process I followed, but then I figured that a ton has probably changed since then, and I decided to ask around....

So, here is my SysCheck log...

Follow maui's softmod any wii guide. You will need one of the original games to exploit though. good luck

Wow, that was painless. Basically, since HBC and IOS58 were still in tact, i was able to start at Chapter 1, part 1, softmods using HBC and just rolled from there. Props to mauifrog and playerkp420 for the advice.
