Not a Wii disc - USB loaders Not Recognizing discs

This is my first post, as I have literally just signed up to post this.

I've been following several guides off this site to set up my Homebrew and it all worked perfectly, then I tried playing Super Mario Galaxy 2 and it required a System update, so I found another guide that involved downgrading the System Menu to 4.2 from 4.3 that should resolve the problem, and it did. I could play both that and Goldeneye 007 without problem.

But then another problem arose. Before the downgrade, I had installed a few games to my HDD from the original game discs, but now after the downgrade, none of the 3 USB loaders I've tried using will even recognize discs anymore. I click install, it takes longer than usual then a message pops up exclaiming 'Not a Wii disc', which it very much is.

This happens with Configurable USB Loader, WiiFlow and the GX one. I can play the disc fine with the Wii disc channel, but I cannot rip nor load through these loaders.

I have spent the better part of my day attempting everything to fix it, but nothing has worked, I'm exactly where I was 9 hours ago with nothing but a slightly cluttered Homebrew channel to show for it. If anybody could help me, that would be amazing.

    Thanks for your time!

the update problem could have been solved by installing priiloader and block updates.

    Post a syscheck http://www.wiihacks.com/tutorial-arc...tem-check.html

Okay that's brilliant, I'll post it tomorrow as it's very late here. But I have to mention that I did have Priiloader installed (and still do I believe) and I had updates blocked which made it all the stranger, but I didn't actually give it much thought before downgrading, which I wasn't too smart, bad memory and all that.

Thanks for the update and I'll post the syscheck tomorrow!

Also, if it doesn't go well, is it possible for me to basically wipe the slate clean and format my SD card and redo the homebrew guide posted by mauifrog? If so it won't all seem so hopeless haha

When you downgraded priiloader was removed.

Yeah so I've basically redone everything, so I have priiloader running again, it's back to system 4.3e and the like, I've deleted and reinstalled the IOS's from the 200 one upto the 250 one. So now it's pretty much how it was before except none of the loaders will recognise the discs as Wii discs.

Seriously any advice would be great, it's become quite a nuisance

EDIT: And to make things even stranger, it recognises backup discs just fine, but not the originals, I have no clue what's going on anymore
