Ca Major Wiikey 2 problems please help.

When i first installed my Wiikey 2 (no clip) nothing would play not even originals or the Wiikey 2 firmware. I have an NTSC-U with 3.4u firmware. A day after the install originals started working but backups still didn't. A day after that it and it stopped ejecting the discs. I installed it with a crappy sodering iron and we had no copper wire so we used the metal from twist ties. Oh and by the way I have a D2A drive. Can somebody pllease help? Also is it possible to update Wiikey firmware via Sd card?

P.S. I have the homebrew channel but nothing works on there either.

That is one of the craziest things I've ever heard when it comes to soldering, get some decent wire and solder and do it properly!

I cannot believe you didn't use solder ... and risked a $250 console + $50 chip due to lazyness.

I used soder but the sodering iron had a wide tip and the flux is at least 15 yrs old. (A) contact is lose and is about to fall off but im ording a new chip anyways. The plant is close to my city and it only takes a day to deliver. No damage to my wii luckily.
