Thread: NOOB Alert ^_^

  1. #1

    Smile NOOB Alert ^_^

I purchased a used Wii the other day and it's working great. Wanted to mod the OS but am confused as there are so many options.

I've been told the easiest way is to pop software on an SD Card and load the boot info and wala. Is this true?

BTW the companies out there selling mod software for the wii, are those legit? They seem really fake to me.

Wow! Thank you! Eh, I'm at US 4.1, should I upgrade to the latest Nintendo Update or does it matter?

And you can banner bomb 4.1 so there is no need for a game exploit. It makes it a lot easier.

TY. Is it just me doing this? No matter how I format my SD card nor how I extract the files to the card, the card is empty (but detected) when I go into the data in the Wii Settings. It's an MS-DOS Format.

It is supposed to be FAT16 or FAT32 depending on size. What files? Could be an incompatible/semi-compatible card too. I have a card that I can only use for official Nintendo stuff but doesn't work with homebrew.

I got further but now my Wii is freezing when I open the SD icon. A grey channel loads and then freezes. : ( I've tried all the files.

Then a file needed to bannerbomb it is not there. it should come up saying do you want to load boot.elf or boot.dol as well as there should be a channel that is called bannerbomb.

I got further. Whenever I load a .wad file, I get an error -2011. What does that mean?
