Ca I just got a hacked Wii and...

Hello! So someone recently gave me a hacked Wii with around 50 games on it and I'm pretty in the dark with some stuff and could use some friendly advice.

Now I don't no much about the Mod on it but I'll try to describe it best I can:

The main software for gaming is Uloader, which is where I access the games. There is also one called Homebrew channel?

The guy gave me an external hard drive and I plug it in to only one of the USB ports.

At first I had NO CLUE how to get new games and I was trying all kinds of things: torrents, "iso's", burning to a dvd... no luck whatsoever.

Then it dawned on me that all I need is the game disc itself and uloader just copies it straight to the hard drive. GREAT! But I guess I'll still have to spend a little money on rentals :S

So I borrowed a few games from a friend, and began to load them up. (Now one thing about the hard drive I was given, it's pretty ancient looking. It's even missing the enclosure.) I was half way through copying the last game and the hard drive starts failing and making strange noises. I'm pretty sure at this point it's about to die!...

Which sucks because now uloader won't even access it and occasionally it freezes up the Wii. What sucks more is that there's about 50+ games on it that I don't want to lose.

The hard drive still turns on and everything but it's making allot of weird sounds. So for now I put the games I borrowed from my friend on an 8gig flash drive, so I have at least 3 games I can play.

Okay, so you got through all that, and thanks for reading.
    Now here are my questions.

-Does anyone know if it's at all possible to transfer EVERYTHING from the hard drive to a NEW external hard drive? And will the new one need to be formatted?

-Is there other ways to get games on the my Wii without having the disc?

-Can I get classic Nintendo, (like SNES, or NES) games for free somehow?

Any advise would be greatly appreciated, even some info on the homebrew channel.
I look forward to talking with everyone now that I'm registered.
