    Question Homebrew not working :(

    Hi everyone so I bought a wii (very cheap) but there seems to be a serious problem with it, it boots fine but when I try to load any homebrew it go black screen, controller disconnect & nothing appear, I press & hold the power button to shut it down because it won't even reset, so I try to reinstall homebrew channel but it lock at the scam warning even after uninstalling it it still lock, it have priiloder I tried to installl system menu from there but with no avail dop-mii locks after selecting IOS wad manager also locks, priiloader installer gives nothing but black screen something went very wrong with this wii, also I noticed IOS70 was there but it's used with SM 4.2 right? & mine is 4.0U I suspect the previous owner downgraded his wii so what can I do to fix it?

    Well, the best thing you can do is completely resoftmod using the softmod any wii guide from my signature. This will install IOS58 and HBC 1.0.8. If IOS58 is present, the HBC will use IOS58, so it should solve most of your problems. If I am correct, the softmod any wii guide also installs all system menu IOS with rev54321, so it should also fix any problems that might arise from downgrading, but I am not sure about that.
