new Wii drive after warrenty service
i gots a good question, while im waiting on the try wing i cant open this wii,
but heres what i got,
by the serial it had a d2c drive, BUT i just sent it in to the syracuse service center for drive replacemnt, the old drive made some bad noise, and wouldnt readalot of disks anymore,
so heres the Q, has anyone had a wii serviced at the NY reapir center, and know what drives they are using now, i got it back about 1 month ago, so the warrenty went out the day after thanksgiving hehe, i cut it really close on the repair lol
are they using a new drive, or the same that was in the machine originally?
once i get her open ill know more myself,
and then ill know the modchip to use, i hope lol
tips on the good modchips wouldnt hurt either
you got either a D2E, or epoxy =P
your correct, D2E with epoxy, bastards!!! lol
heres a pic of the new drive they installed under warrenty reapair for an almost 1yr old wii.
Well my friend you better break out the heat gun and scalpel.
since i do other types of mods to receivers, i have all kinds of rework tools, including a hotair rework station, i have a couple device programers as well, and can read and program any chip out there, including BGA, TSOP, TQFP.
so i can direct a certain heat range and air volume to the epoxy,
now i wonder if some stripper and heat will help each other, guess its time for some testing!!!
I have heard paint thinner can work.
