Thread: Ios60?

    Ios60?

I have a softmodded 4.2E wii with a patched IOS60 rev 6174. I have read that you should stick with cios60 rev 54321 and not install rev 6174 because of bricking if you Nintendo update. Can I change this to rev 54321 or should I just leave it?

This is the current syscheck, as it was after softmodding. I realise there are quite a few updates for it but is there anything there I should not update and just leave alone? Cheers

I can't see your sys check from my phone but if u are on system menu 4.2 you should be on a patched ios70 anyway ios 60 was for 4.1. If your worried about system updates u should familiarise yourself with priiloader and bootmii

got priiloader and bootmii installed and backedup nand ok, but bootmii only installed as IOS and nott to boot2 so I wasnt sure if I would be able to restore from a brick.

Just block disc and online updates in priiloader and your as protected as u can be with a non boot2 wii.

By yourself using BootMii...Not recommended. Sending the bricked Wii and NAND backup off to a professional with the proper tools and experience...Recommended.

Fortunately not bricked yet! Managed to update the IOS, but left alone 30,50,60 and 70. All good so far

All of your cIOS' (above 200) look good, but I would recommend a few more patches in your IOS', namely IOS36 as this IOS can be used for some types of brick recovery. If I were you I would remod with the guide in my sig and you will be current, and it also installs lots of patches for brick recovery. Just start at chapt 2 as you already have bootmii and Hbc
