Is it ok to "Just' install HBC?

I am thinking about softmodding my wii but i am not willing to play backups of games since i have a drivekey modchip. My wii is at v3.4e, an Australian model. Just wondering if someone could give me a guide too softmod my wii but without any of the backups or anything like that. I just want to have HBC and without bricking my wii.

P.S. Can i uninstall HBC afterwards safely if i dont want it

    Thanks for any answers

So just run the hackmii installer through bannerbomb v1 and install hbc. Run it again and uninstall as desired. Not much to it. If you're not sure how that works then follow the instructions in one of the guides up to the point of installing hbc.

Note that following our guides to completion gives your Wii greater chances against bricking than without. Food for thought.

The HBC won't hurt anything. If you install wads from an unreliable source, you can get a partial brick. The wads included in this site are reliable.

    So its that easy really?

Just put files on the sd card, run bannerbomb, install homebrew channel and thats it?
Cool thanks guys. Reccomend any homebrew apps to install and will HBC conflict with my modchip?

WiiMC, Homebrew Browser (if you have internet), and WiiXplorer are good ones that don't pose any danger if misused.

Should you ever do a full softmod, I strongly suggest Softmod ANY Wii.

Definitely install bootmii as boot2 !
And make a backup of your nand.
Then you are able to recover from any
    brick,semi or full!

Unless it is happens during a 4.2+ update. Boot2 is overwritten, removing bootmii. But yeah, definitely install it and backup your NAND.
