PlayStation 3's security breached by hacked in January this year and exploited by geohot (now being sued by Sony) is reported to be fixed by the latest PS3 patch.

Hacker Youness Alaoui (KaKaRoToKS) has recently Tweeted that on his first glance that it appeared the PS3 has been resecured. While Alaoui noted that while it did not mean that the PS3 could not be broken again from scratch, he reported no plans to work on cracking 3.60. Alaoui's Tweet also asked that noobs stop contacting him about this.

Current users of a PS3 hacked OS or Homebrew enhancements are advised to avoid connecting their console to the Internet to circumvent this update.
