[Help Required] USB Loader Not Working Anymore

    Hey,

I bought a Black Wii a few months ago and followed the following tutorial:

LINK REMOVED - Can't use this link, but my Wii is 4.2E.

I got through this tutorial fine and was able to install/use USB Loader including the channel forwarder.

USB Loader was working fine until I stupidly updated it by going through the USB Loader settings and selecting Update.

It updated and the Wii Restarted. Once restarted it booted into USB Loader but it was unable to detect my USB Stick (Which previously worked before) I get a pop-up box saying "No WBFS or FAT/NTFS partition found" and had the options:

    Select, Format or Return.

I click on either and it takes me to the USB Loader screen but no drives are displayed, still looking like its undetected.

Does anyone know how to fix this?

    Thanks in advance!

p.s. I will try posting a syscheck later on today after I finish work!

p.p.s. Is it possible to just resoft the Wii, do I need the follow the same tutorial as before or am I able to follow another tutorial instead?

I have modded a few consoles & always used gx loader i liked the gui more kiddy proof. However as time and system updates come along I started to get problems with gx. I am now using cfg with fat32 easier to load, easier to change settings it even tells you whats missing if you get a particular game error. I have seen some chat regarding a new version of gx. I would think you can either delete the gx channel in the wii settings. or uninstall the channel wad, you can then reinstall the wad you used before the update, then you should be back at the start. pre your gx update. The answers are all on this site you have to search and read lots before you act. never update anything without checking this site. your head aches may never go if you update at will.
Are you running a partitioned drive? Does your backup manager recognise the drive on your PC.

I would start here first - Introduce Yourself and as for the gx problem id just remove the app from your sd and download the latest version and put it back on your sd. Post your sys check and we can see if theres any problems before re-modding.
How to post a system check

    Managed to do a syscheck.

I tried reverting back to the old USB Loader but that hasn't worked.

However, I've noticed NeoGamma seems to read from my USB fine?

I might try resoftmodding, is this safe to do with a completely different tutorial though?

Did you download the latest GX from the web to see if that fixed the problem. Follow the softmod any wii guide in my sig, it should sort out your problem. never follow guides from anywhere but here.
You have quite a few stubs.

Yeah I've tried using the one from the Website but that didn't work either.

I really need to sit down and read up on IOS and Stubs since I don't fully understand them!

I think maybe softmodding again might be my best bet!

I think so too. Your cios is out of date, and you are missing a couple ios. Follow the softmod any wii guide I linked in my last post. It will bring you up to date.

Perfect, thanks guys, I will resoftmod when I get the chance.

In regards to Priiloader, I had heard it was pointless (or along those lines) to install it if your bootmii was on able to install as an IOS, mine is the newer black wii so it sadly can't install as a boot2. Should I still go ahead and install Priloader

You guys have been invaluable, thanks very much.
