Thread: Wii won't boot past the warning screen. Not sure what to do here. :l

Question Wii won't boot past the warning screen. Not sure what to do here. :l

Well, I guess I'll get right to it. For a while now, my wii has just been freezing on the warning screen and not showing the push a message to let me get past it. Usually, I could just keep restarting and it would just randomly work after a while, but it seems to just completely not work now. What's odd though is that I can connect a wiimote while its frozen on this screen and be assigned a player number, but still cant hit a to get past it or go into maintenance mode.

It seemed to start happening once I did a system update a while back (my wii is soft modded), but that could have all just been a coincidence.

So, I'm not really sure what to do here. Any suggestions?

Thanks in advance for any help.

Loose or bad bluetooth module or wireless module? Sounds almost hardware related since restarting it would fix it once in a while.

If it were mine, I would strip the unit down to its core, and reseat all the wires and reseat the wireless module and bluetooth module.

I actually found an old nand backup from when I initially soft modded it a while back, restored from that and it fixed it. But now I have to figure out how to get the wii mote to stop dcing when I try to use ios249. I guess I'll keep working on this tomorrow. :l
