Question Help needed with softmodded 4.3u

Ok first of I know it was stupid to allow the wii to go to 4.3 That said here is my situation:

Went from fully modded 4.2 (had waninkoko as well as hermies) with usbloader gx and everything was perfect. I had to Update to4.3 for a few games I bought the wife. (Don't bother with the idiot comments and such, i know, i know.) anyways I lost most cios to stubs. I used a few guides here to delete the stubs, update hbc and have reinstalled all of the newest ones (See below). The problem is even with all the new updated cios i can't get any homebrew running. Anything that uses usb hangs as soon as it tries to initalize. I noticed this small glitch as soon as I was done modding as well:

After full mod, if I restarted the wii it was all fine but if I turned it off and back on some time later (With usb drive in correct port) then it would freeze trying to load the hbc. After a while i figured out it was the usb which i had to unplug then everything was fine.

I have done a lot of tweeking (maybe to much as i can no longer what steps I have taken) but I can start the wii and hbc without any freezing. What steps do I need to take to recover the ability to play my backed up games off my usb drive?

    Here are the full specs:

If anyone can give me help that would be great. I can also cook up some videos of the hangs if needed.

Not sure if it helps but when I try to use cfg it just gets to int usb and hangs.

If i could I would downgrade (I know, scary stuff there) back to 4.2. Has anyone had the same problems or success with downing? Thanks for the help.

    Lightbulb

if you want to downgrade, go to 4.1, not to 4.2, it will be very noob!

What I will say is very important : Also you have a lot of stubs in your system, by looking at your SYSCHECK so delete all thoses before downgrading or you will brick at 100% your Wii... especially :

    - ios60 rev 6400, if you downgrade to SM 4.1

    - ios70 rev 6012, if you downgrade to SM 4.2 (but, like i've say, it's completely useless, so DON'T DOWNGRADE TO SM 4.2 !!! ONLY TO 4.1 !!!)

Also, if you really what to do downgrade, check the 4.3 softmod guide : it has a detailled "How-to-downgrade-to-4.1 " guide.

I hope that i've helped you,

I should start a new thread with this one but why not, Is there anything wrong with deleting all the stub ios and replacing them with the last version that did something? Sorta like extra backwards compadability? Just a thought. The idea of usless stubs installed doing nothing is bugging me.

No. There's anything wrong to delete stub ios, because, simply, they are STUB ! They are there for stop the installation of custom IOSes and for stop hackers to downgrade.

Thanks, thats what i thought. Well I also realized i did a "quick format" on my 1tb drive so all usb loaders saw it as fat 16 even though windows sees it as 32. Once i retransfer all the backups I'll do a proper format and call it good. Thanks for all the help.

You dont have to remove all the stubs. If you want to install system menu 4.2 you need to install a patched ios 70. If you want to install system menu 4.1 then you install a patched ios 60. But as mentioned above 4.1 is the one you want to go for...
