Exclamation None Of My Wii Games Will Play On My Wii Anymore?

Ok, so yesterday I was playing a backup of Black Ops, and all of the sudden an error came up telling me to eject the disc, turn off the wii, then insert it. So I did this and attempted loading it through neogamma, so at first everything was working fine, then when it got to black op's loading screen it took an unreasonably long time to load the main menu, and it also made this weird repeating noise. ( My wii often makes a typewriting noise considering it was bought in 08. So I tried two more times and got the same problem. Then I tried another backup game and it did the same thing, it would get past the warning screens and stuff but then when the game attempted loading it would stop loading. After this I tried 3 official wii games and tried to load them through the wii menu disc channel, and this did the same exact thing.
Alright so then what I did was attempt to clean the laser that reads the discs by using a special lens cleaning disc, but this did not work.
After all of this I was talking to one of my friends when they remembered they had the same thing happen to him, ( he was a not a hacker) so this brang me to the idea that it can't be my hacking. He said he had sent it to nintendo and after they fixed it, and they said that something was broken INSIDE his dvd drive. So now I know its the DVD drive that is dysfunctional ( correct me if i'm wrong) i'm thinking about buying a dvd drive for my wii and fixing my wii myself. I know I can send it into nintendo and they have great service, but I don't want to format my wii and lose all my hacking work. I have neogamma, and homebrew and much other stuff, I did copy what I could on an SD though.
If replacing my hard drive will not fix anything please tell me! But i'm almost positive that this will work. So if I but a wii drive which one would I buy? I've looked them up and there are lots of different ones. I do not want a D3-2 Drive ( drive in the new black and red wii) because they do not play backups. So maybe one made just before those? A driver that will play backups. Please suggest some! Like I said my wii was made in 08, so I would want a newer drive for my wii but not the black or red wii drive.

Well, if you are thinking of buying a drive, you might want to have a look at USB loading. Besides, I believe that it is possible to load from a USB DVD drive in uLoader.
Awesome sig picture does not work
