USB Loader GX, can't choose or format my USB HDD!

I have been following all instructions at ReadMii - USB Loader GX and from a few other sources on the net. Installed Homebrew, did the appropriate IOS and CIOS mods. When I run the USB Loader GX, it finds my hard drive and tells me that there is no WBFS or FAT/NTFS partition found, and that I have to select or format a partition. When I choose either Select or Format, I'm taken to a screen which lists the partitions, but it doesn't let me take any action on them. i.e. pressing "A", clicking on the partition in question, or anything else, does nothing, and all I can really do is exit back to the system menu. Is there something that I'm overlooking or missing?

I will give that a look, thanks. Are these loaders all fairly similar in what they accomplish?

How did you format you harddrive? wat program/programs did you use? I highly recommend the guides on this forum for the system menu you have, just search for them or if you ask someone will point you in the right direction. But search for them first! I also recommend using another usb loader such as configurable usb loader, wiiflow, or uloader. This is so you can check if it is actually your harddrive or the usb loader you are using. You might need to do some extra steps but it will be well worth it.

I did end up trying the alternate USB loader which was recommended. It works well! No problems with the hard drive...

If you really have your heart set on USBLoaderGX try rev 910 or earlier. My hard drive is only compatible with it up till rev910 then i get the same problem. If you dont care then just stick to the others that were recomended to you.
