Help updating modded wii
I recently bought a used modded wii (4.2U) that has the hmc 1.0.6 and uloader (dont know which version), what i want to do with:
1. Run backup and original game disks (a friend said that some modded wiis cant run original disks?) both would be gamecube and wii games
2. Be able to use the wii shop channel to buy games from there
3. Update the mods since i think they are old versions
After reading the forums for a while i became confused by all the IOS terminology and everything, but i understood that i should install priiloader and update my homebrew channel, i also read that i should run syscheck, which i did and it is the only thing that i have done pretty much.
I am a complete newbie to this whole scene so i dont know what is possible and what i should do, so if someone can help me on this i'd thank you.
Below is a report from syscheck:

Reason: added wii version
I used the guide softmod any Wii, look in my signature. Downgraded my 4.3 red Wii to 4.1. When I completed mauifrog guide I inserted the Micheal Jackson retail game disc, it has a 4.3 update on it, and the game played fine without prompting for an update. I don't know about the shopping channel using that guide since my shopping channel was already the newest version.
Any problem with my IOS? Should i worry about bricking when using the guide?
I'm sorry but i'm not familiar with the whole IOS and what is fine and what isnt to do with the wii, for now i'm reading the guide and preparing the files to follow it.
Stubbed IOS 223, broken/wrong cIOS in 249/250 (Rev 15). No IOS 58, so no HBC 1.0.8 --- follow the advice you were already given.
Thank you, i'm following the guide

Ok here is what is happening now, after doing all that i turned off my wii. After some time i turned it back on, only to be met with a black screen, by using the instructions from the guide i placed the bootmii and nand backup on the sd card and then tried to boot priiloader (which worked), from there i cant open the wii menu, but if i bootmii IOS and then try to load the wii menu from there it works.
I just want to make the wii boot normally with the wii menu and not have to use the sd card backup. what do i have to do?
After testing around i have found out that whenever i boot my wii with the external usb dvd drive i get a black screen. If i disconnect my usb drive it boots up normally, any ideas?
