I have been reeading forums for a month or so since one of my co-workers paid to have his wii modded to read games on a usb drive. The wife and kids would kill me if I messed theirs up, so I finally purchased a used Wii to mod. I just received it today and surprise it has 4.3U on it. Looks like previous owner may have tried to mod it before. It has a channel called NeoGamma R8 rc1 on it and a SD card in it that has alot of stuff on it.
Just don't want to start trying guide without knowing what is already been done.
Below is what is on the SD card
I:\SKIP bootmii <folder>
I:\apps\Trucha Bug Restorer
I:\wad\NeoGamma R8 rc1.wad
Thanks for any suggestions.

The previous owner probably had it modded, from the looks of what is on that sd card. It may have been updated accidentally, although it looks like they tried to install priiloader. Is there a Homebrew Channel on it? Scroll all the way to the end of the channels, they may have hidden it. If there is, run a syscheck and post it here. How to post a system check
If there is not, you will need to go through the whole softmod any wii guide linked in my signature. There may be a few options on that too, due to the fact that it may have been modded before. Check to see if you have bootmii as boot2 by watching the blue light in the disc slot on startup. If it blinks twice you have boot2, which is a good thing to have. Also, check to see if priiloader has been installed by holding in the reset button while restarting the wii (keep it pressed until you get priiloader or a system menu). The neogamma channel may be a forwarder channel, which could give you another method of re modding too. If none of those 3 are the case, you will need an original disc from the guide to re mod the 4.3 wii.
No HBC, no double blink of light and no priiloader when holding the reset button when restarting. I went ahead and followed the steps in the guide and all seems to be working well. Was easier than I thought it would be, there were a few spots that the prompts were worded different than the guide but was perfect otherwise.
