accidentally updated after softmod!
I'm 23 years old and from the Netherlands. Gaming is one of my most favourite hobbies. I have all 3 systems, and play the best games on each system. I just finished playing God of War III on my PS3.
I wanted to continue playing Super Mario Galaxy 2, but then I encountered a problem with my USB Loader.
First, a brief history of my Wii. I got my Wii a few years ago and had an hardmod done in February this year. Then I learned about the Wii Homebrew Channel and playing region free games and turning your Wii into a media player. And when I read some articles about the USB Loader, I was sold...
I had firmware 4.3 before softmodding, that's why I ended up using NeoGAF's Wii Homebrew Tutorial, which took me step by step through all the fases. I succeeded it making it work.
But a few weeks later, somebody accidentally updated the firmware, it was already on 4.3 and still is… But apparently it got refreshed or something.
Now, when I try to start up Configurable USB Loader it says: ‘ERROR: Custom IOS 249 is a stub! Please reinstall it.’
I reinstalled IOS 249 using cIOSX_rev20b-Installer, but nothing changed.
Then I wanted to reinstall Configurable USB Loader. But unfortunately that didn't work either.
Before try anything else myself, I thought it would be wiser to get some advice from other people. I hope I can fix this thing sooner rather than later.
Btw when I use the Media Player from the Homebrew Channel, I can still load movies etc from the external hard drive. So that's relieving.
