    SDHC (update sys menu)

    Hi,

I'm about to softmod a virgin wii that is on 3.4U and the person gave me a 4Gig SDHC card to keep the loader setting on. What is the best way to update the system menu to 4.1 without passing by nintendo.

Or can we save the setting of wiiflow somewherelse so I would not have to use Sd card at all ?

Softmodding is not the problem. I have a 2 Gig that I can use to softmod. I was just asking myself if there is a way to not use the sd card at all so I could leave this wii on 3.4U.

Should work from an SDHC card after the softmod.

You could format the USB drive (if that's how you're loading) to FAT32 and use that for all the apps.
    Damn I suck!!!!

If he updated to 4.1 via disk first the SDHC might work. There is also Waninkoko's 4.1 updater that can be ran after softmodding if the OP's Wii has an internet connection. Both are easy methods.

You'll want to go to 4.1 for Priiloader.

This mean that the wiiflow or HBC apps would load from the HDD. How can I do this ?

Yes, if you follow a guide on this site then you will update to 4.1 in the process.

Follow the FAT32 guide in my signature, for your other question that is.

I advise against using wanins updater and just follow the guide on this site. They all include methods to update to 4.1 during the softmod process.
